If you have good levels of Vitamin D in your body, you can have a healthy body because you will prevent having certain types of cancer. Hence, you can enjoy a longer life without the fear of developing various diseases.

On the other hand, if you have a vitamin D deficiency or you lack vitamin D, you are at risk for developing many different diseases that is related to inadequacy of this vitamin. Usually, the diseases would involve the loss of bone mass or problems related to the bones. One example of the conditions related to insufficiency of Vitamin D would be osteomalacia. Osteomalacia is the condition wherein the softening of the bones is caused by the demineralization or the loss of the minerals because of the poor absorption of calcium.

In order to prevent conditions such as this, it is advised to have adequate intake of Vitamin D and have regular exercise.
